Association Seeks Applicants for Paid Congressional Internships
The Central Pennsylvania Congressional Internship Association (CPACIA) is currently accepting applications for its Summer 2021 Internship Program.
This internship gives students the opportunity to see first-hand what transpires in a Congressional office. Each intern typically serves in the office full time for the summer, spending five weeks in Washington, D.C., and five weeks in one of the 10th Congressional District Offices in Pennsylvania.
During the course of the 10 weeks, the intern participates fully in the duties of the office. Students are given the opportunity to attend hearings, as well as sessions of the House and the Senate, and to interact with other government agencies and constituents.
Details, schedule, compensation, and arrangements for the 2021 internship program are subject to change due to the Covid-19 pandemic; however, the CPACIA successfully sponsored two interns during 2020.
An applicant's permanent address must be within Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District, which includes Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties.
An applicant must have completed a minimum of one full year of undergraduate studies by the program start date (May 2020).

The 2021 application deadline is February 26, 2021.
